POINTS SYSTEM

In all preliminary rounds, the 10 point system will be used to determine which teams will advance

 to the next round and the 5 goal rule IS in effect:

+6 points for a WIN

+1 point per goal up to 3 goals max

+1 point for a shutout

+3 points for a tie ( or a draw. A score of 0-0 is a tie, no point for a shutout)

-1 point per red card (parent, player or coach)


If teams are tied at end of preliminary round, the following tie-breaking procedure shall be employed to determine which teams advance to next round in listed order:

Goal difference: Total net score for tournament games. Net score = goals scored, less goals scored against. A maximum differential of 5 goals per game will account for this purpose.

 - Fewest goals allowed.

- Most goals scored (maximum of 5 goals per game will count for this purpose)

- Red cards

- Coin toss


***The GOLDEN GOAL rule will be in place during the overtime period of the Consolation and Championship games***

***If the teams are tied at the end of the overtime play, then the winner shall be determined by kicks from the penalty spot per FIFA.***
